Built by someone who needed it.
AC Labs exists because the existing solutions were not solutions. They were compromises. We chose not to compromise.
This didn't start in a lab. It started with a problem.
"The brain doesn't speak chemistry. It speaks electricity. So that's the language we learned."
AC Labs was founded on a simple but uncomfortable observation: the people around us were sleeping poorly, and the solutions they were reaching for were making things worse. Melatonin. Sleep aids. Gummies. Each one a patch over a deeper problem — a nervous system that modern life had fundamentally dysregulated.
The founder, Alexandre Parreira, had spent years at the intersection of athletic performance and entrepreneurial output — two domains where recovery is not optional. Training since 14, building companies since 15, and now competing in triathlon, the relationship between sleep quality and everything else became impossible to ignore.
But the turning point was not personal. It was observational. Watching family members, friends, and colleagues reach for melatonin night after night — not because it worked, but because they didn't know there was another option.
What followed was months of deep research: neuroscience literature, polysomnography studies, clinical trials on non-pharmacological interventions. The conclusion was unambiguous. The brain already knows how to sleep. It just needs the right conditions — and those conditions are electrical, not chemical.
"Rest is also training. And training deserves a system — not a supplement."
To make restorative sleep accessible to every high-performance human — without dependency, without chemistry, without compromise.
Because the people who need the best sleep are exactly the ones least likely to get it. We are here to change that equation.
The principles behind every decision.
Not values written for a website. Constraints we hold ourselves to when building product.
Science first, always
Every claim we make is traceable to peer-reviewed research. If we can't cite it, we don't say it. This is non-negotiable.
Zero dependency design
A product that creates dependency is not a solution — it's a subscription to a problem. Everything we build must work without creating reliance.
Performance obsession
We build for people who treat their body as a system to be optimised. Marginal gains are not marginal to us — they are the product.
Radical transparency
We publish the science. We explain the mechanism. We name the limitations. Customers who understand what they're buying are the best customers.
Alexandre Parreira
Alexandre Parreira started training at 14 and building companies at 15. That combination — athletic discipline and entrepreneurial drive — created an unusual obsession: the optimisation of human performance at a systems level.
Competing in triathlon pushed the understanding further. When you train swim, bike, and run simultaneously, recovery stops being a bonus and becomes the variable that determines whether the rest of the training works at all. "Rest is also training" is not a quote — it is the operational reality of anyone serious about output.
After months of reading neuroscience literature and identifying the gap between what the research showed and what the market was offering, AC Labs became the answer he built for himself — and then decided the world needed too.
"I didn't build AC Labs to disrupt the sleep industry. I built it because every solution I found was either ineffective, dependency-forming, or both. The bar was low. We raised it."
— Alexandre Parreira, FounderThe AC Labs roadmap.

You need better sleep.
We built it.
The Sleep System v2.0 is available now. Backed by research, cleared by the FDA, and designed for people who don't accept mediocrity — in training or in rest.
